***UPDATE ***Online Threat to Shoot-Up a Faulkner County School Quickly Tracked Down

A 14 year old Conway Junior High School student faces a charge of first degree (felony) terrorist threatening. Conway Police believe the boy is responsible for the anonymous post threatening to shoot up a school left on the website “4chan”. It was discovered online around 7:50 Monday morning (October 5, 2015). The Conway Police Department and the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department immediately got to work securing the schools and working to find the source of the post. By 9am the poster had been tracked down here in Conway, identified and the threat alleviated. The 14 year old was pulled out of class and interviewed. Police did not find any weapons on him or in his locker. He told police he posted the threat as a dare.

 

(ORIGINAL POST) An anonymous post that contained a threat to “shoot-up a Faulkner County School” was discovered online around 7:50 Monday morning (October 5, 2015). By 9am the poster had been tracked down in Conway, identified and the threat alleviated. The responsible party is being interviewed.
