On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to Burgess Road in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival, Deputies noticed that the vehicle matched a description of a vehicle reported stolen near Wooster on September 19, 2022. Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputies made contact with Mr. Sabbath Scroggins, but he engaged Deputies in a short foot pursuit. Deputies were quickly able to detain Mr. Scroggins, and he was transported to the Faulkner County Major Crimes Unit for questioning. Through the course of the investigation, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division was able to link Mr. Scroggins to additional cases in Greenbrier and Quitman. Mr. Scroggins is currently housed in the Faulkner County Detention Center on the following charges pending court appearance: Felony (D) 5-36-103 Theft of Property, Felony (D) 5-38-203 Criminal Mischief, Misdemeanor (B) 5-54-125 Fleeing, & Misdemeanor (B) 5-39-203 Criminal Trespass x2. He currently faces additional charges as a result of cases pending within Greenbrier Police Department and Quitman Police Department as well.
