Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputies currently participating in the New Hire Training & Orientation program were able to train at Gravitas Martial Arts this past week. Deputies worked on de-escalation and proper techniques for taking subjects into custody without blocking airways or utilizing excessive force. We appreciate Deputies Sexson and Gilmer, martial arts experts, for working with these new recruits. Special thanks to Gravitas for continuing to allow us to utilize their facility for this important training. Faulkner County Sheriff's Office realizes the importance of proper training in being prepared for any situation. We strive to remain a step ahead and embrace new ways to approach law enforcement.
