Deputy Humphrey Wins the FCSO Health & Wellness Challenge Award

08/04/2022

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office recognizes the importance of having healthy and capable employees. As we value all of our employees, we wanted to help improve their quality of life. To achieve this goal, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office recently implemented a new wellness program for employees. This program consists of biannual fitness testing for all employees who carry a duty weapon and badge. In addition, employees are provided diet and fitness consultations.

As part of the new wellness program, employees recently completed a health & wellness challenge in which they were provided with an individual diet and workout program compiled by Wellness unit members Deputy Hall and Training Commander Rappold. Deputy Humphrey made the biggest improvement during the Health & Wellness Challenge, and he has lost a total of 220 lbs throughout his fitness journey!

When presented with the Health & Wellness Challenge award, Deputy Humphrey responded by saying that he had to make a decision to be unhealthy or be alive. He said it was a life or death decision, and he knew he had to make a change. He stated that his quality of life has improved dramatically after taking his well-being seriously. Deputy Humphrey said he could not have done this without the support of his co-workers and the motivation they've given him.

Please join us in congratulating the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Health & Wellness Challenge award recipient, Deputy Humphrey!
