FCSO New Recruits: Instilling Professionalism

07/15/2022

As we look back over the progress that the new recruits at the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Training Program have made during the past few weeks, it is our hope that one of the most important lessons these new recruits remember is to maintain professionalism. Maintaining professionalism comes from actions as well as appearance. Recruits discussed the importance of maintaining a clean and professional appearance and well maintained patrol unit. Boot polishing, featured in the photo on the left, is a long tradition among military and law enforcement. We feel it is important for recruits to understand the history of the career field they have chosen and to take great pride in the position they hold. As a result, new recruits are taught to invest in their appearance and know the importance of the way they carry themselves daily.

Sheriff Ryals and the training staff of Faulkner County Sheriff's Office recognize and maintain high standards of professionalism for all of our employees. It is a fundamental part of building and maintaining trust and respect within the community. We want to ensure these new deputies exhibit the level of professionalism you expect from our department.
