We would like to take an opportunity to, once again, show appreciation to Jeanette Stewart and the Log Cabin Democrat. While many news agencies take the time to publish stories regarding major crime events, the Log Cabin Democrat has showed an impressive initiative in their willingness to work with us to ensure citizens are also aware of the many positive things our department does to increase professionalism and training of our deputies as well as to ensure the safety of the citizens of Faulkner County. It is important that these stories are also able to reach our neighbors that may not be active on social media. In the past several months, the Log Cabin Democrat has published several of our promotions, training, and community event notifications including this wonderful front page feature yesterday on the Faulkner County Reserve Unit increasing our efforts to ensure sex offender compliance in the community. This willingness to ensure all community members, regardless of their presence on social media, have an opportunity to be informed of the many positive initiatives that law enforcement departments organize and participate in within the community is much appreciated.
