At approximately 6am this morning, the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT), 20th Judicial Drug Task Force and the DEA, served a narcotics/guns search warrant at 310 Linder Road, in the Spring Hill Community. Two females were taken into custody without incident, a 3rd suspect, PAROLEE John Paul York, 34yo, fought with a deputy and grabbed the deputy's AR-15 Rifle. A struggle ensued over the rifle. During the struggle, York was shot by another deputy. He received medical treatment by the SRT Medic and SRT Doctor, who were on scene. The suspect was med flighted from the scene. His wound is non-life threatening.

The Arkansas State Police were called to the scene to investigate the shooting incident, per normal procedure. The deputy who shot the suspect has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, per policy.

There was a large amount of methamphetamine recovered, along with a stolen tractor, a stolen boat and a stolen truck. Another search warrant was served simultaneous in Pulaski County targeting stolen property involving the suspect.

The suspect's charges are pending at this time.
