New Deputy Spotlight: Douglas Volkman

07/06/2022

Please join us in welcoming Deputy Douglas Volkman to Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division!

Deputy Volkman was born in Liberty, Missouri. His dad is a horse trainer, and Douglas grew up working on ranches with him. Douglas credits this experience for his love of horses, and his favorite place to be is the outdoors. In 2014, he graduated from Vilonia High School and joined the U.S. Army. He served in the Infantry for the U.S. Army until 2018. While in the service, he married his high school sweetheart, and they have a one year-old child now. In 2019, Douglas was hired at the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Detention Center. Most recently, he has served as the Detention Sergeant for Unit 1. Douglas says he has enjoyed his time at the Detention Center, and he is looking forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Faulkner County in his new role with the Patrol Division.

Deputy Volkman will graduate from Faulkner County Sheriff's Office New Hire Training & Orientation on July 15, 2022. He will then begin Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy on July 17, 2022.

Congratulations, Deputy Volkman! Welcome to Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division!
