New Intern Spotlight: Cross Cardenas

03/23/2022

Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to be partnering with the University of Central Arkansas Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology on an internship program this year. We have two new interns working in the office right now, and they are learning about all of the many divisions of Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.

Please join us in welcoming Intern Cross Cardenas to our team! Cross is currently a junior at the University of Central Arkansas majoring in Criminology. He is from Royal, Arkansas, and he hopes to work in law enforcement after graduation.

Before joining us for his internship, Cross completed the Police & Society class at UCA, where he participated in ride-alongs, training exercises, and interviews with the Sheriff’s Office. He also assisted the class in hosting the annual Share-A-Bear Holiday Police-Community Relations Event. Cross says he is enjoying his internship because he has the opportunity to get a more in-depth look into the day-to-day activities and family-oriented team of the Sheriff’s Office. Cross looks forward to serving his community in a positive way after graduation by working in law enforcement.

Congratulations, Cross! We are proud to have you joining us for your internship!
