Promotion of Andrew Dixon to Patrol Lieutenant

Please join us in congratulating Andrew Dixon on his promotion to Patrol Lieutenant!

Lt. Dixon has lived in Faulkner County his entire life. He graduated from Guy-Perkins High School in 2005, and had the privilege of playing basketball for Coach John Hutchcraft. Lt. Dixon served as a Reserve in the United States Navy as a Master at Arms. He has several family members who have served in the military and/or are currently serving as well.

Lt. Dixon's career with Faulkner County Sheriff's Office began as a Reserve Deputy in 2013. After realizing his passion for law enforcement, Lt. Dixon became a full-time Deputy in 2014. Over the years, he was promoted to Corporal, Sergeant, Investigator in the FCSO's Criminal Investigation Division, and, most recently, to Patrol Lieutenant. Soon after becoming a full-time deputy in 2014, he joined the Special Response Team and has served as the Tactical Team Leader and Assistant Commander. He currently serves as the SRT Commander. Lt. Dixon is a certified Tactical Operator, FTO, Instructor, Firearms Instructor, ALERRT Instructor, and Less Lethal Instructor. He has taken FBI training courses as well as many other classes pertaining to law enforcement, and he has completed over 1,163 hours of training.

Outside of work, Lt. Dixon has been married for almost 17 years. He enjoys spending time with his family. Together, they enjoy hunting, fishing, and traveling. He also likes playing sports and watching his kids play sports.
