FCSO & CPD Conduct Joint SRT & SWAT Operations

01/30/2022

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is pleased to share that we are proud to be conducting joint Special Response Team (SRT) & Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team operations with Conway Police Department. Our individual teams are now training together and assisting each other in both the city and the county. We are pleased that both of our departments are able to work so well together in hosting events and joining forces on operations such as this. Sheriff Ryals and Chief Deputy Wooley take pride in maintaining an excellent working relationship with other agencies. We feel strongly that, by maintaining these relationships and joining forces, both departments are able to combine resources to best serve all citizens residing in Faulkner County.

Our combined efforts have also allowed us to work with other agencies as needed. For example, this team was able to work with Agents from the 20th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, Clinton Police Department, & Arkansas Department of Community Corrections to successfully conclude a three-month investigation involving the sales and distribution of methamphetamine on January 19, 2022. During the course of this investigation agents seized approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine, and nine suspects have been arrested or charged thus far.

Interagency cooperation is fundamental to successful operations within the state, and it allows law enforcement to combine efforts, resources, and manpower to better protect the law-abiding citizens of our great state.
