Promotion of Bryan Adkinson to CID Sergeant

Please join us in congratulating Bryan Adkinson on his promotion to Criminal Investigations Sergeant!

Sergeant Adkinson is originally from Pensacola, Florida, and he moved to Faulkner County as a child. He has spent most of his adult life in Faulkner County. Sgt. Adkinson was in the United States Marine Corps for nine years where he served as aircrew on the CH-53E Assault Helicopters. During his career in the Marine Corps, he completed multiple deployments to Iraq and various regions around the world. He began his law enforcement career in 2012 with the Jacksonville Police Department. Sgt. Adkinson started his career in Faulkner County in 2014 as a Reserve Deputy and has worked his way up through the ranks as patrol deputy, patrol supervisor, and criminal investigator. He was recently promoted to CID Sergeant.

Sgt. Adkinson holds a Bachelor's degree in social and criminal justice, a Master's degree in criminal investigations, and over 1,200 hours of law enforcement training. He has served on the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT) since 2017, and he currently serves as the Tactical Team Leader and Sniper. He is also a certified instructor. Sgt. Adkinson has been married to his wife for seventeen years, and they share three children. In his free time, Sgt. Adkinson enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
