FCSO Begins New Training Program

01/10/2022

Under the excellent leadership of Sheriff Ryals, Chief Deputy Wooley, & Training Commander Rappold, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the start of a New Recruit Training Program. New deputy recruits to the Sheriff's Office will undergo two weeks of intensive training with our Training Team prior to beginning Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. During this initial training, our experienced training team will work with the new recruits on discipline, constitutional rights afforded to citizens, policies and procedures, affirmative action, community-oriented policing, diversity, building clearance procedures, responsible firearms handling, physical fitness, and many other topics. Our training team has worked diligently in preparing this training program over the past year. We are confident that this new pre-academy training program will help produce the well rounded and respected deputies you expect in Faulkner County.

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office was pleased to welcome five new recruits to the new program today. These recruits spent their first day meeting with Sheriff Ryals & Chief Deputy Wooley, engaging in physical fitness training, and learning policies and procedures of the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Ryals spoke with new recruits at length about his expectations for all members of the department to understand the U.S. Constitution, protect the constitutional rights of the citizens of Faulkner County, demonstrate respect to citizens in all encounters, and maintain integrity at all times.

Please join us in welcoming these new recruits to our team. We look forward to following their progress over the next few weeks as they begin preparation for their law enforcement careers.
