George Thompson, 48, of Conway was arrested on August 21, 2020. On July 27, 2020 the sex offender coordinator reviewed the past due sex offender list and Mr. Thompson was due to complete his 6 month verification of residency on July 17, 2020 and had not completed it. A warrant was issued for Mr. Thompson on July 29, 2020. On August 4, 2020, deputies and investigators with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office went to Mr. Thompson's registered address and spoke to a family member who advised that Mr. Thompson was no longer living at his registered address and was now living in Conway, AR. It was learned that the address he was residing at was inside the city of Conway. Investigators went to the address to attempt to locate Mr. Thompson but no one was available at the home when they arrived. On August 21, 2020, Mr. Thompson was arrested on his warrant by Mayflower Police Department when a traffic stop was conducted with Mr. Thompson driving.

George Thompson was charged with Failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements as a sex offender a Class C Felony, Registered Sex Offender-Incorrect permanent physical address on identification cards or driver's license prohibited a Class D Felony, and is considered a large Habitual offender in which for a conviction of a Class C felony, a term of imprisonment of not less than three (3) years nor more than twenty (20) years could be applied. Mr. Thompson is currently in Unit 1 of the Faulkner County Detention Center in lieu of a $15,000 bond. Additional charges could potentially be added to Mr. Thompson pending investigation. Anthony Jones, 58, was arrested on August 27, 2020. On July 30, 2020, the sex offender coordinator learned that Mr. Jones had left his registered residence and had not advised law enforcement of his move. Sex Offender Coordinator, Vanda Phillips, reached out to the management of the apartments where Mr. Jones had been registered and it was confirmed that Mr. Jones was no longer living at his registered address and that the apartment had been registered to another tenant. Mr. Jones was issued an Arkansas driver's license on March 9, 2020, and the address on the driver's license is 824 Cotton Rd. North Little Rock, AR 72117. Mr. Jones was registered as living at 45 Ridge Ln. Cabin I Mayflower, AR 72106 at the time the new Arkansas Driver's License was issued.

Mr. Jones was charged with Failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements as a sex offender a Class C Felony and Registered Sex Offender-Incorrect permanent physical address on identification cards or driver's license prohibited a Class D Felony. He is currently in Unit 2 of the Faulkner County Detention Center awaiting first appearance.
