08/05/2020

On July 28th Faulkner County Dispatch received a call in reference to a runaway juvenile. Once deputies made contact with the complainant, she advised she went into the juvenile's room around 8:00 a.m., and found a note on the bed. The complainant also stated the juvenile had taken some of her belongings along with the complainant's car and another family member's cell phone.

Deputies advised dispatch to start a ping on the cell phone; it then pinged at the airport in Little Rock. The complainant called deputies back stating there was a charge on her credit card for a Southwest Airlines ticket. Deputies contacted Investigators and TSA to advise them of the situation. The Little Rock Police Department located the juvenile at the airport waiting for a flight. LRPD placed the juvenile in holding until Faulkner County Investigators arrived on scene. Investigator Fowlkes and Sergeant Hill brought the juvenile back to Faulkner County for an interview, then released the juvenile to a parent. Great job by our deputies and investigators; they were able to locate the juvenile and get them back safely.
