On Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a call regarding George Thompson, a registered sex offender out of Wisconsin. The caller stated he was staying at 45 Liberty Rd. Conway, AR 72032 and was not registered with Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies learned Mr. Thompson had a nationwide extraditable warrant out of Wisconsin for Failure to Comply as a sex offender.

When deputies arrived at 45 Liberty Road, Mr. Thompson ran from the back of the property into the woods. After a short foot pursuit, Mr. Thompson was taken into custody and transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center where he is awaiting extradition to Wood County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin.

Mr. Thompson could face Federal Charges due to crossing state lines without registering with local law enforcement.
