Colt's Quick Draw Incident

11/07/2016

Recap on Friday’s Colt’s Quick Draw “Hit and Run” incident.

A little after 5:00 P.M., Friday, 11/4/16, Faulkner County Dispatch received a 911 call stating a pedestrian had been hit by a gray car, and the car left the scene. Deputies responded to the scene to find a badly hurt juvenile.  The juvenile was transported to Children’s Hospital via a medical helicopter.

Deputies located the suspect car at a residence at the 500 block of Hwy 285N. When deputies approached the residence, two subjects fled the back of the residence to the nearby woods.  The Arkansas State Police, State Police helicopter, and FCSO deputies were unsuccessful in locating the subjects.

Investigators were able to interview witnesses and investigate what happened at Colt’s to get a better idea of what happened. It appears the injured juvenile had been with the subjects at the gas station and as the car was driving through the parking lot, the injured juvenile reportedly jumped on the trunk of the car, and ended up falling off the car.  The driver of the vehicle ended up leaving the scene.

Investigators were able to interview the driver and passenger on Saturday. All parties are accounted for. The case file will be presented to the prosecutor for review.

It was reported the injured juvenile is expected to be released from the hospital in the near future.
