Faulkner County Storm Damage
07/17/2024
As a result of flooding following significant rainfall today, July 17, 2024, Faulkner County Judge Allen Dodson has issued an emergency disaster declaration along with multiple other counties in the state. As you can see from the pictures posted below, we have a number of roadways flooded throughout the county. We ask that all citizens of Faulkner County, both those within city limits and outside of city limits, report all storm and flooding damage to the Office of Emergency Management at 501-450-4935. We encourage you to take pictures of all damage from the storms and keep these on hand in case state and/or federal assistance is provided. Should Faulkner County need these images for assistance, we will contact you at the information provided in your damage report.
Faulkner County is expected to receive additional rainfall overnight tonight. Combined with existing waterways moving downstream, we encourage residents to remain alert of future weather alerts and information. Please report all flooded roadways and property damage to the Office of Emergency Management at 501-450-4935.
Emergency crews are working around the clock to repair roadways, assess damage, and respond to requests for assistance as possible. Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways regardless of the amount of water on the road. Please be advised that several of our roadways are washed out under the water. Even if there doesn't appear to be a great deal of water, there may be no road underneath. Additionally, there have been a number of stranded motorists today as a result of loss of engine from entering the water. We ask that you work with emergency responders to help keep yourself and your family safe. We appreciate your cooperation in the aftermath of this significant flooding in Faulkner County.
