National Police Week

05/13/2024

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. As a result, this week, May 12, 2024, through May 18, 2024, is recognized as National Police Week. National Police Week offers honor, remembrance, and peer support, while allowing law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office and Conway Police Department will be hosting their annual Fallen Officer Memorial Service honoring the Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputies and Conway Police Officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The public is invited to attend the service, which will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 5:30pm, at Simon Park, located at 805 Front St., Conway, AR, 72032.
