National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week Cookout

04/19/2024

On Friday, April 19, 2024, a Celebratory Cookout was held in honor of all of the incredible dispatchers working together at the Communication Center. These amazing men and women are "Heroes with Headsets", and they serve citizens and first responders in the darkest of times. Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Chad Wooley, Lieutenant Andrew Dixon, & Commander Landon Rappold cooked some excellent burgers, and, thanks to Harps Food Stores - Vilonia, AR (1086 Main St. Vilonia, AR), we were able to have burgers, condiments, and chips! Faulkner County, Arkansas Administrator Randy Higgins opened the celebration by reading a proclamation, issued by Faulkner County Judge Allen Dodson, recognizing National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Faulkner County as a time to honor our dedicated dispatchers. On behalf of Faulkner County Sheriff's Office & Conway Police Department, we hope our dispatchers have had an excellent week, and we appreciate the many donors who have contributed to honoring them with meals, snacks, prizes, gift cards, and other items!
