New Deputy Spotlight: Addison O'Neill

08/09/2023

Please join us in welcoming Deputy Addison O’Neill to his new role at Faulkner County Sheriff's Office.

Deputy O’Neill graduated Southern Arkansas University, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Simulation. He stated that he loves animation work in his free time, but he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement eventually as he has always had a passion for helping people. As a result, he began working for the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office as a Detention Officer in August 2019. During his time at the Faulkner County Detention Center, he worked in the booking division. Due to his excellent work ethic, he was promoted to Corporal fairly quickly, and he spent the next 1.5 years leading the officers he worked with. In September 2021, he was presented with a career opportunity that allowed him to travel with friends. He felt at the time that it was an opportunity that he could not pass up, so he left the Faulker County Detention Center. He stated that he learned a lot about himself during this journey, and he was sure that he wanted to return to law enforcement. In July 2022, he returned to the Faulker County Detention Center and began working in Unit 1 Max, where he was eventually promoted to a Corporal position again. When the opportunity presented itself to apply for a Patrol Deputy position, he knew that it was his time. In the next steps of his career, Deputy O’Neill will complete the next available Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy.

Welcome to the Patrol Division of Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, Deputy O’Neill! We are proud to have you as a member of our team!
