The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Faulkner County today, Friday, June 30, 2023, effective from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Heat index values exceeding 110 degrees are expected. Please drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children, elderly, disabled individuals, and pets should never be left unattended in the heat. Heat stroke is an emergency! As a result of these conditions and the impact to our community from the recent storms, the City of Conway has opened the Don Owen Sports Center and the McGee Center as cooling centers. Information for these cooling centers is as follows:

Monday-Saturday - 7:00am to 9:00pm
Sunday - 1:00pm - 6:00pm
