Please join us in welcoming Deputy Austin McGee to a new role within Faulkner County Sheriff's Office.

Deputy McGee was born in Memphis, TN, the son of Leonard and Yolanda McGee. He was raised in Vilonia, and he is a 2007 graduate of Vilonia High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served 6 years on active duty and 3 years as a Marine Reservist. As a U.S. Marine, he worked as a machine gunner and an avionics maintainer. During his time as a Marine Reservist, he began working toward his bachelor's degree from Arkansas Tech University in Emergency Management, which he was awarded in 2017. Following a branch transfer, Deputy McGee became a combat engineer for the Arkansas Army National Guard, where he was commissioned in September 2018 as a 2nd Lieutenant. Following this, he obtained his Paramedics Licensure in September 2019. In total, Deputy McGee has 16 years of military experience and 2 combat tours. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife, Candice, and their two beautiful daughters, Paisley and Palmer.

Deputy McGee originally joined the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office as a STRIIK Team Member through our partnership with Pafford Medical Services. He serves as a STRIIK Team Paramedic through that partnership. Most recently, Deputy McGee has decided to join us part time in addition to his membership on the STRIIK Team. He completed our New Hire Orientation and Training Program last week to begin his part time venture.
