Mt. Vernon-Enola High School Career Fair

Chief Deputy Chad Wooley, SRO Steve Ferguson, & PIO Sherry Skaggs had a great time participating in the Career Fair today at Mt. Vernon-Enola High School. The Career Fair was to teach students, grades 9-12, about all of the different career paths open to them upon graduation. 

While individuals must be aged 21 or above to apply for available patrol deputy and reserve deputy positions, you can start a career with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office at age 18 in our available dispatch and detention officer positions. Our dispatchers our truly heroes with headsets. The new 2023 starting salary for Dispatchers is $37,315.20. The starting salary for full-time detention officers at the Faulkner County Detention Center is $37,960. Candidates for both positions need to be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Arkansas driver's license, be able to successfully complete a background check, and have a positive work ethic and attitude.
