National Read Across America Day
03/02/2023
Happy National Read Across America Day, Faulkner County! Celebrated on March 2 each year as long at it falls on a school day, today was chosen as it is the birthday of Dr. Seuss. On Read Across America Day, our nation recognizes the value of literacy, and we celebrate books that allow our children to dream big. Observed since March 2, 1998, the annual event is part of Read Across America, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association. Take some time today to celebrate by reading a book to a child in your life. This is also a great day to reconnect with reading yourself.
