Good evening, Faulkner County! Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, as well as several other local agencies, are currently receiving an influx of reports of attempted scams recently. Please stay alert! In addition, we encourage you to educate your friends and family on these scams to prevent victimization!

We are currently seeing an increase in the following types of calls recently:

  1. Scammers pretending to be federal agents scaring individuals into believing their accounts are frozen.
  2. Scammers telling their victims they have missed jury duty and have a warrant for their arrest.
  3. Scammers pretending to be representatives from the Faulkner County Detention Center and/or local law enforcement requesting bond money over the phone.

In many cases, these scammers use the names of Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputies or other local law enforcement officers in an attempt to make their scam seem legitimate. Please do not fall victim to these scams.

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office will never contact individuals via phone regarding arrests or warrants and requesting money or additional personal information. We will also never ask for venmo, cash app, gift cards, or other financial information from you.

If you receive a call similar to this, do not give out personal information or provide money. If you are concerned about the legitimacy of a call you receive, you can always contact us at 501-450-4914 or our Non-Emergency Number 501-328-5906.

Stay safe, Faulkner County!
