New Patrol Deputy Spotlight: Derek McCoy

Please join us in welcoming Deputy Derek McCoy to the Patrol Division of Faulkner County Sheriff's Office.

Deputy McCoy comes to us with 14 years of law enforcement experience, first as a Deputy and then as a Detective. He stated that, upon moving to Arkansas, he has known that he wanted to continue his career with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office. During his 14-year career, Deputy McCoy has gained a wide variety of skills serving as a SWAT operator, less lethal instructor, field training officer, major crimes detective, and property/evidence custodian. Outside of work, Deputy McCoy prioritizes his family and strives to be the best husband and father he can. He also loves powerlifting and playing tennis competitively.
