Ongoing Investigation: Fatality at the Faulkner County Detention Center

On Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 9:30pm, a single inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at Unit II of the Faulkner County Detention Center. Personnel from the Faulkner County Detention Center immediately contacted for medical assistance. Pafford Emergency Medical Services transported the inmate to Baptist Health Medical Center Emergency Room, where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. As standard procedure for an inmate fatality, this case is under active investigation. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no additional details will be provided at this time.
