Please join us in congratulating Mykel Jones on his promotion to Patrol Corporal!

Corporal Jones was born in Conway, Arkansas, and he was raised between Faulkner County and Conway County, both places in which he stated shaped his values, work ethic, and sense of community from an early age. Growing up in these areas instilled a deep appreciation for family, responsibility, and service to others in him.

In 2019, Corporal Jones earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Central Arkansas, and he stated that this was a milestone that marked the beginning of his professional journey in law enforcement. During that same year, he began serving as a reserve deputy for Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, and he believes that he was able to gain valuable experience and insight into the realities of protecting and serving the community in that role.

Corporal Jones has had a seven-year career in law enforcement since his start in 2019, but he returned to the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office as a patrol deputy in October 2024. Since then, he has enjoyed a successful career serving the people and upholding the values that first drew him to this profession.

Outside of work, Corporal Jones is a proud family man. He has been married to his beautiful wife for 10 years, and, together, they have two sons and another child on the way. As a result, much of his free time outside of work is spent with his family. Together, they enjoy fishing, participating in sports, and other joint endeavors. Corporal Jones stated that these important family moments keep him grounded, and they remind him of what truly matters in life each day.

Congratulations on your promotion, Corporal Jones! We are proud to have you as a member of our team!
