National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day

Today, February 15, 2026, is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! Faulkner County Sheriff's Office has expanded our School Resource Officer team over the past year, and we now have 5 School Resource Officers across the county!

The School Resource Officer assignment is a special and unique assignment within the law enforcement profession. These sworn deputies fill multiple roles, serving as informal mentors, educators, and law enforcement officers to support the students and communities across Faulkner County. They are valuable members of the education community who work tirelessly each day to keep our schools and students safe.

National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day occurs on February 15 each year in recognition of the birthdate of Archie Hodge, the only National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) founding member who remains active on the organization's board of directors. Hodge, of Jackson, Mississippi, retired from law enforcement in 2006 after serving as an SRO for 22 years.

In appreciation for our School Resource Officer team, we will be taking special time today to recognize each of them individually, and we encourage you to show some love on the individual post of your favorite SRO today!

Thank you, SROs, for keeping our Faulkner County schools and families safe:

  • Taylor Sullivan, Mount Vernon-Enola High School
  • Clint Dalton, Wooster Elementary School
  • Luke Brock, Springhill Elementary School
  • Brandon Jones, Mount Vernon-Enola Elementary School
  • Bradley Fornash, St. Joseph School
