National Correctional Officers Week

This week (May 3-9, 2026) is National Correctional Officers Week! This week is dedicated to recognizing the courage and dedication of correctional officers across the country. Founded in 1984, this important week raises awareness that, while correctional officers are often hidden to the public behind the walls of correctional facilitates nationwide, they are incredible individuals who dedicate their free time for community events and truly understand the meaning of public service and sacrifice. Please join us in showing appreciation to all of our incredible employees hidden behind the walls of the Faulkner County Detention Center this week!
