Severe Weather Alert: Heat Advisory

Good afternoon, Faulkner County! We anticipate a very hot and humid week ahead of us. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Faulkner County, effective until 8:00pm today, Monday, August 10, 2026. During this time, heat index values up to 108 are expected. Please drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Young children, elderly, disabled individuals, and pets should never be left unattended in the heat. Heat stroke is an emergency! Stay safe, Faulkner County!
