As we close National Police Week today, we reflect on the week and continue to honor our fallen officers and their families. The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office and the Conway Police Department honored our fallen heroes this week in a memorial service as part of Peace Officers Memorial Day. The 2026 Faulkner County Fallen Officer Memorial Service Video is available at the following link: Fallen Officer Memorial

These heroes, along with the family they left behind, will always remain in our prayers. As stated on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C., "It is not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived."

  • Deputy Hans Fifer died on April 8, 2013, after suffering from a medical event during a SWAT training.
