Community Engagement: UCA Police & Society Experiential Learning Partnership Introduction Day

Faulkner County Sherriff's Office was honored to join representatives from Arkansas State Police, Conway Police Department, University of Central Arkansas Police Department, City of Guy Police Department, & Conway Emergency Operations Center in speaking with the UCA Police & Society class for Department Introduction Day. During the presentation, officers discussed basic information about their departments, and Captain Landon Rappold and Staff Sergeant Timothy Johnson were proud to introduce Faulkner County Sheriff's Office. This begins an annual semester-long partnership with the course in which students complete ride-alongs, trainings, and physical entrance examinations with the agencies. Students will also be working with the agencies to host the new Special Olympics Arkansas Float the Flame fundraiser this year. We look forward to continuing to work with these students throughout the semester for this annual partnership!
