Transferred to Arkansas Department of Corrections: Abilene Almanza

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is aware of the recent social media concerns regarding the custody status of Abilene Almanza, who was arrested by the Greenbrier Police Department on July 21, 2026, on charges of threatening to commit a mass shooting. Early this morning, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Abilene Almanza was transferred to the Arkansas Department of Corrections on a parole violation. She remains in custody with the Arkansas Department of Corrections at this time, and Faulkner County Sheriff's Office has an active hold placed on her related to her most recent charges as well. While questions related to this case should be referred to the arresting agency, the Greenbrier Police Department, please be assured this defendant has not been released from custody. Release Status on the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Inmate Roster simply refers to release from our custody- not release into the community.
