Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas

Each year in May, law enforcement officers from around the state come together for the largest Torch Run in Arkansas. The 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas will officially begin on Monday, May 19, 2025, in all four corners of the state. The “Flame of Hope” torches are lit and carried by officers and athletes throughout various cities for four days on the pathway to converge at the Arkansas State Capitol to join their flames in a ceremonial lighting of the Final Leg Torch Run on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is honored to join agencies from around the county each year to carry the torch through Conway as it makes its way to the Arkansas State Capitol. We invite the public to join us as we celebrate the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Arkansas in the Conway Leg of the Torch Run, which will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, beginning at 9:45am. You may watch us at any point in our route as we carry the Flame of Hope throughout the city. We will begin at Agape Community Temple and proceed to Conway Human Development Center. We will have a celebration with the athletes at the Conway Human Development Center before proceeding down Oak Street and ending at Centennial Bank, 620 Chestnut St. Once at Centennial Bank. we will hold the Centennial Bank Torch Arrival Celebration, designed to bring awareness to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas on its way to the 2025 Special Olympics Arkansas Summer Games.
Through programming in sports, health, education, and community building, Special Olympics Arkansas is changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Arkansas provides opportunities for more than 19,000 athletes and 16,000 volunteers in all counties across the State of Arkansas. The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas is to raise awareness for Special Olympics. Nearly 100
agencies and 1,500 officers work year-round in Arkansas to accomplish this goal. Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is proud to be a dedicated supporter to these amazing athletes!
