The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office has taken three (3) deputies off of Administrative leave from the pursuit incident that occurred on May 4th, 2015. 

The Internal Investigation was completed on July 10th, 2015 and turned over to Sheriff Andy Shock for review.  All three deputies have been put back to full duty as of July 15th, 2015.

Deputy Gene Watlington was notified of termination from his position as deputy sheriff on July 10, 2015 for the use of excessive force against suspect Martin on the night of the incident.

 

The Criminal Investigation, to determine if any criminal charges will be filed, has also been completed and forwarded to the 20th Judicial Prosecutors Office for review.
