On Tuesday May 19th, the Faulkner County Sheriff deputies responded to 156 Waterfront Cove, Conway in reference to a disturbance. The caller advised that a white male was in her yard cursing, drinking beer and hitting her house with a boat paddle. Dispatch received another call a few minutes later that the white male had walked to 146 Waterfront Cove where a gunshot was also heard. Deputies responded and found a deceased white male (Charles Oakey, 40) lying on the front porch of the residence.

Investigators were called to the scene to investigate the shooting.  Deputies arrested the homeowners at 146 Waterfront Cove, Brian N. Gay, 47 and Kaye L. Brown, 46 for 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 5-64-443.

The shooting is under investigation at this time.
