Juvenile arrested after pursuit with FCSO

 The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office arrested a juvenile after a pursuit through Springhill and Conway on April 9th, 2015 at approximately 11:30pm.

Deputies were called to a residence in Springhill after a mother called about her juvenile son being intoxicated and out of control. While deputies were in route, the mother called back and advised that the 17 year old had taken her keys to her car and left. Dispatch advised that an accident occurred at Hwy 65 and  W. Cadron Ridge Rd. involving the black SUV that the juvenile had taken. Deputies responded to the area and the juvenile had fled the scene from the accident. Deputy Andrew Dixon got behind the fleeing vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle on Hwy 65. The juvenile would not pull over for the deputy and the pursuit began. The fleeing juvenile was pursued travelling south on Hwy 65 to the city limits of Conway were he accelerated to 85mph and running traffic signals. The pursuit ended when juvenile crashed into another vehicle and a traffic light at the intersection of Hwy 65 and I-40. The juvenile would not exit the vehicle and resisted arrest. He was arrested and cited for the following –

-Speeding

- Unauthorized use of vehicle

-Drivers License required

-Violation of Omnibus DWI Act

-No proof of Insurance

-Reckless driving

- Ran red light

-Fleeing

-Defective tail light

-Improper lane change

-Driving on shoulder

- Drove left of center

- Left scene of accident

- criminal mischief

- Aggravated assault

-resisting arrest

-disorderly conduct

- attempt to influence a public servant

 

All parties suffered minor injuries from the accidents and were released at the scene.
