2 Registered Sex Offenders Arrested

Earlier this month, two sex offenders were arrested on separate cases.

 

On March 27, 2017, Faulkner County investigators received an anonymous tip that Jonathan Snuggs was not living at his registered address of 50 Mt. Pleasant Rd. Quitman, AR but was instead living at an unknown address in Mayflower, AR. Investigators began an investigation and learned Snuggs had changed jobs and failed to register his employment change, had an active Facebook page and had failed to register his social media, and was living at 40 Ridge Ln. Mayflower, AR. On May 16, 2017, deputies went to Snuggs registered address and spoke with a resident there who confirmed that Snuggs was not living at the address. Snuggs appeared at the Major Crimes/Registered Sex Offender office on May 18, 2017 and was interviewed. During the interview, Snuggs admitted to living at 40 Ridge Ln. for approximately 3 months without registering that address. Snuggs was taken into custody and is being charged with 12-12-904 Sex Offender Failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, a Class C Felony.

 

On May 4, 2017 Faulkner County investigators received an anonymous tip that Jonathan Ratliff was not living at his registered address. Investigators learned that Ratliff had changed employers in February of 2017 and had failed to register his new employment. On May 16, 2017, deputies went to Ratliff’s registered address of 19 Heavrin Ridge Cabot, AR and made contact with a resident there who stated that Ratliff did not reside there and had not since approximately April 28, 2017 when he was evicted. On May 18, 2017, Mr. Ratliff appeared at the Major Crimes/Registered Sex Offender office and was interviewed. During the interview, Ratliff admitted to not registering his new employment and stated that he has been staying other places and staying only occasionally at his registered address. Mr. Ratliff was taken into custody and is being charged with 12-12-904 Sex Offender Failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, a Class C Felony.

 

Pursuant to 12-12-903, The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) requires the offender to report in changes in residence, mailing address, temporary domicile, employment, email, social network information in person to the local law enforcement agency having jurisdiction.
