Cabot Man Arrested; Conspiracy to Commit Rape

Sunday evening, 2/26/17, 40 year old  Jeromy K. Edgin of Cabot, AR,  was arrested by the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office at an undisclosed location in Greenbrier, AR. FCSO undercover investigators  began communicating with Edgin on or about 2/24/17 after encountering him in a group chat room. Investigators communicated with Edgin from 2/24/2017 up until the time of his arrest on 02/26/17. During those communications, Edgin allegedly made arrangements to meet an adult female for inappropriate sexual contact with both her and an underage female at a predetermined location in Greenbrier, AR.

 

At the time of this contact, multiple items were seized from both Edgin and from his vehicle, including alcohol, condoms, metal knuckles, and a cellular device. Edgin is currently charged with 1 count of Conspiracy to Commit Rape-a Class A Felony, and 1 count of Criminal Use of a Prohibited Weapon (metal knuckles)-a Class A Misdemeanor.

 

There is no bond amount or court date set at the time of this release.  This case is considered under investigation.
