On 10/21/2016, FCSO Investigators arrested 43 year old Ronald Jesse Kelley, of Helena, AR on Internet Stalking of a Child, a class B Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Investigators began communicating with Kelley on 10/19/2016 after locating a suspicious online advertisement allegedly placed by Kelley. Using an undercover profile of a 15 year old boy, an FCSO Investigator emailed and later texted with Kelley. During those communications, Kelley allegedly made arrangements to meet at a predetermined location in Conway, AR for the purpose of sexual contact with the undercover Investigator.

When Kelley arrived at that predetermined location he was contacted by FCSO personnel and taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, multiple items of evidence were seized from Kelley and from his vehicle. These items included a semi-automatic handgun, a cellular device, a laptop computer, a tablet, other electronic storage devices, suspected marijuana, unknown prescription pills, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

Kelley was released on a $50,000 bond on 10/24/16.
