***UPDATED***Narcotics Search Warrant Conducted on Hwy 365

During the morning hours of Thursday, 7/28/16, Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team conducted a narcotics search warrant at 270 Hwy 365.   Approximately $4500 cash, 8 grams of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as a result of the search warrant.  Faulkner County Sheriff's Office worked in cooperation with the 20th Judicial Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Task Force.

 

Two suspects are being charged for the illegal items located during the operation.

35 year old Quitman man, Joshua Ward was charged with 1 felony count possession of methamphetamine.  26 year old Quitman woman, Rachel Fulwiler was also charged with1 felony count possession of methamphetamine as well as 2 felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.  A court date and bond amount have not been set.

 

At the completion of clearing the residence, one subject began exhibiting signs of physical distress. As per protocol, aid was rendered immediately by the on-scene emergency medical personnel, (members of the MEMS STAR teams, which consist of tactical paramedics and physicians that assist Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies statewide). The subject was transported by ambulance to CRMC Emergency Room where he was later pronounced deceased by the Faulkner County Coroner.  After speaking with acquaintances on scene, Investigators learned the subject suffered from heart complications in the past.  It was later discovered the subject had a nitroglycerin tablet in his pocket.

 

The Arkansas State Police was notified of the incident and will be investigating at the request of the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.
